I got married in 2013. Its hard to believe its been 3 years. It just seems like yesterday. When planning our wedding, I kept asking Jonathans approval on the wedding plans. He said the only thing I ask is that I don't want the guests to wait between the ceremony and the reception. So how was I going to do this.. I wanted a lot of photos.. I had lots of ideas. How was I going to plan this... Then I thought why not get my photos done before the wedding! I called my photographer and mentioned it to her. She was on board with my idea. She had so many wonderful ideas. My wedding day came. I got up, got my hair and make up done, then just enjoyed the morning with my wonderful wedding party. Then at 12pm I arrived at our location. Jonathan was hidden and I was anxiously awaiting to see him. I went and covered his eyes and he turned around. He saw me for the first time. It was just him, me and our photographer. It was a wonderful time. We just took the time we needed to enjoy each other. Now I look back at those first photos, I am so in love with them. I am so greatful that I did that. That night Jonathan and I laid in bed and talked about our wedding day. He asked me what my favorite thing was about the day. Without even thinking I said I got to spend the whole day with you. I am so glad we got our photos done before. I got to experience everything that day with him by my side. Even walking down the aisle to meet him I wasn't nervous at all. Then next few days after meeting up with guests from our wedding the one thing that they said to me was "I loved that there wasn't a long wait between the ceremony and reception". I said agreed with them! I know that this isnt an option for everyone. Some people love the idea others not so much. I never thought that I would like the idea of it. As I look back I would do it all over again. As a photographer I think that its a great idea! I am always mentioning to my brides what a great idea it is. Here are some of the gorgeous photos taken by the talented Tracy Waye Kelly
